Kitesurfing in Lanzarote

Lanzarote is the northernmost and easternmost of the Canary Islands and lies about 125km off the coast of Morocco. Although technically and linguistically it belongs to Spain some of the villages have a very North African feel. Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.

The coasts of clear waters, fine sands and the presence of the trade winds make Lanzarote the perfect kitesurfing location for all levels of riders. The island can also get some great waves so if the wind isn’t up you can brush up on your surfing skills.
